Visqueen in session May 21

Next Friday, Seattle-based power-pop/punk-rock band Visqueen will take time out from their current East Coast tour to join host Jack Rabid for an exclusive performance and interview at The Kennel studio in Brooklyn.

Frontwoman Rachel Flotard, who has collaborated with Neko Case and Minus The Bear, among others, will be joined by Christina Bautista on bass, Barb Hunter on electric cello, and, standing in for band co-founder Ben Hooker (who’s taking a break from the road to celebrate his baby’s 1st birthday), special guest drummer Barrett Martin, whose resume includes The Screaming Trees, supergroup Mad Season and Tuatara with Peter Buck of R.E.M.).

This promises to be a great session!
